Day 3 Portobello

Our Island
Our Island

Tonight we have a guest blogger. I hope all the families enjoy reading the blog post from Noelle. We had another great day. It was really nice to have a slower paced day on the Caribbean Sea. We spent some extra time on the beach thanks to our tour guide Gabe. He was able to work it out so that our lunch could be delivered by boat to the little island we were spending the day on! Kids had a blast snorkeling, swimming, and kaiaking in the sea.

Gabe also worked really hard and was able to deliver a charger for me. His dad actually went to the Canon store and then delivered it to me at the hotel this evening. Since we spend so much time on the water I don't have tones of pictures anyways for today.

Mr. T

When I first signed up for this trip, I thought, “Oh yeah, I get to see the canal!” But now that I am really here and experiencing this amazing place, I have learned that Panama is so much more than just a canal. We’ve seen sloths and toucans and a rainforest just within the city limits! We’ve also seen coral reefs and huge schools of fish. We’ve seen skyscrapers and markets. Panama is such an incredible place, with so much culture and the biodiversity. Even though I have seen so much of this country already, I can’t wait to see more. The things I have learned will change the way I view the world, because Panama is indescribable in any old history book. This really has and is going to be the adventure of a lifetime.

Sounds like you had another great day - sunshine, lunch delivered by boat, seeing some cool sea creatures (and no snow!) Thanks for adding your perspective to the post Noelle (great job!) and thanks to Gabe for the charger! I agree... take it all in! AND... If anyone wants to understand the importance of sunscreen - just ask Belle! (Hope you found some aloe!) Hugs and kisses to our sweet girl. XO

Sounds like another incredible day! I have to say, looking at those pictures and videos of the clear water is making me slight envious, but don’t worry, I just finished a little shoveling and I’m certain it was almost as fun as kayaking and snorkeling. Aidan, I guess you can’t ask Belle for sunscreen bc it looks like hers may not Work either . Seriously though, we are so glad to hear you are all enjoying your trip for all it is worth. Beautiful post Noelle. Glad you got your charger Mr. T. It sounds like you are in great company, surrounded by genuine people. Big hugs to all ❤️
